The Work Must Be Original: You must be the creator of the art that you submit to the competition. Your art must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else’s copyrighted material. (If your image infringes upon another’s copyright it will be disqualified.) Upon submitting your work to this competition, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials.

Repeat Entries: There is no restriction on entering art that has been entered to previous competitions.

Copyright: Contest entrants will retain copyright of all submitted work but grant Rough & Tumble Pub unlimited and indefinite permission to display submitted images on/in Rough & Tumble’s exhibits, website, print collateral, display images, social media, and/or any additional event promotional materials.

Non-exclusive Permissions: By entering this art competition, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on our website, in our print media, newsletters, exhibits, website, print collateral, display images, and/or any additional event promotional materials, in the marketing of future art competitions to the general public. Each entry may be featured for historical / archival purposes. Any present or future requests for removal will be denied.

Expectations of Final Art: Printer requirements may mean that your art as-submitted may need to have adjustments made to the final print-ready version. We’ll work with you and our printer to get as close to the final vision as we can, however, please be prepared to potentially be flexible in making a few changes if needed.

File Sizes and Formats: Dimensions: MAXIMUM 13” wide x 15” high. May have front, back, and sleeve designs (not required and if submitted as three all three may not be used). Preference for high image quality files (300 dpi OR vector format). Artwork must be in RGB.

The Entry Process:

• Step 1. Have your files ready to upload before you start the submission process.

• Step 2. Include a link to where your art submission is located (sorry, we can’t accept file uploads here). Reminder to make sure you change the Share access to Anyone with link!

• Step 3. In the form, fill out the information about the artwork you are submitting.

• You will receive a confirmation email. If you do not, please contact us so we may check on your submission.

• If you encounter any problems or have a question please contact us at hello@roughandtumblepub.com and we will assist you.

Judging Criteria:

• Does the submitted artwork feature at least one of the R&T characters (e.g., a front/back design may have one character in one design but doesn’t need to be in both)?

• Is the design fun and embody the R&T brand?

• Is there an inclusive, pride-obvious design?

• Does the art fit within R&T’s overall focus on prioritizing equality in sports?

• Is the quality and command of the medium being used?

• Is it fun and commercially viable? Does the artwork meet the dimension specifications, and is the quality high enough for print?

Original Work: We reserve the right to request proof that your entry is your original artwork created solely by you. Non-compliance to this rule will be a disqualification of your entry.

Multiple Submission: Multiple submissions are permitted, however, artist is limited to only one prize payment.

Submission Deadlines: Artworks may be submitted up until midnight Pacific time on the last day of the submission schedule posted. No artworks will be accepted past the posted deadline.

Prizes: The winning artist will have their winning design printed on an R&T limited edition tee, receive $100, a tee in their preferred size, and two tickets to the Seattle Reign’s Pride Game on June 23, 2024.
